Why a Public Tracing Cell Phone Numbers System will not Click

Individuals are private people. The rest of the time that we don’t blog or post shout outs to our social networks, we want to enjoy this privacy. Having a public tracing system would have been nice but a lot of people may abuse it.

The police, crime investigation organizations and other government associations have a system of tracing phone numbers. However, this feature is not available for private individuals.

Private Telecommunications Companies usually offer private tracking of cellphone features. The person you want to track can register your number and give you access to track her anytime.

Parents use this with their little kids. Older parents would want to use this to their teenage kids but apparently these older kids know better. Initially, it was fun with couples to know where each other is any given time of the day but later, conflicts may arise.

We have to bear in mind that most individuals would like to be private individuals. We don’t want everyone to know where we are all the time. Yes, social networks such as facebook, multiply, twitter and plurk are bombarded with where the person is, what he’s currently doing and whoever he’s with. We declare when we go to social events. We declare when we have a good Friday’s night with friends at a good place. We declare whenwe travel in the country or abroad. But the rest of the time, we don’t want to be seen. We just want to get on with our lives and do what we want and have to do.

Having a public tracing cell phone numbers would make a lot of people vulnerable to stalking. Now, that tracing phone numbers is not a feature available to everyone, a lot of people have been stalked. What more when the public has access to this tracing phone numbers system?

Public individuals like celebrities, media men, artists and public officials would have been the most vulnerable people for stalking. Crowds could mob them anytime using tracing phone number system even when they are not doing a public appearance.

Stalking would not be the only crime that could be perpetuated by this tracing phone number system, Criminals can plot their crimes against public and private individuals better if they know how to track the person and the person’s guards.

People who like to put vengeance in their hands can simply assault the relatives of the person they want to do revenge with. They can simply track the target individual, know his/her daily route and establish a more probable plan than without having an access to the tracing phone number system.

These are only some of the reason why people wouldn’t want to subscribe to tracing phone number system. It would have been nice to track our family, friends and loved ones especially during emergencies. But this same system could bring about different kinds of emergencies towards our loved ones.

With all the social networks we have, messengers, and other mobile ways to reach everyone, some individuals take their time to disconnect. Relax and have bonding time with self to release stress and maintain a better well being. This would not be possible if a tracing phone number system would be available.

So leave this power to the governing bodies and have less people abuse it’s convenience.
